Emily Whitehead, a 7 year old from Philipsburg, has had one spring she'll never forget. The young girl has been battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia in the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia since March and many doctor's are calling her a miracle. She underwent a procedure that is still being tested, and she was the first pediatric case to receive the treatment. When she was released from the hospital today, she was cancer free.
As the family arrived home to Philipsburg they were escorted by several firetrucks, and drove through town to signs and people lining the streets. Emily was most excited to come home to see her dog, Lucy, who has been staying with her grandparents over the last few months.
